2008 Hoinke Classic Prize List.xlsx
To All Hoinke
Classic Bowlers,
I would
like to take this time to thank you personally for your hard work
organizing squads and participating in all of our Hoinke Classic events.
The Hoinke family realizes how difficult it has been especially over the
last couple of years to not only get commitments from bowlers, but also
the time involved filling out entry forms, securing hotel stays and
collecting money.
The past couple of
years have been extremely difficult in the bowling business. League
bowling is down along with declines in open bowling and tournament
bowling. Because of these factors, Western Bowl has had a difficult
time financially. We had hoped to secure new financing to allow Western
Bowl to get back to profitability, however all efforts on this front
have failed.
These factors, along
with the state of the industry, have forced us to make the difficult
decision to suspend operations on May 1st of 2009. Obviously, this
situation has also forced us to postpone the operation of the Hoinke
Classic.
We are currently in
talks with different bowling centers about hosting the Hoinke next
year. We have the majority of your e-mails, and will contact you
accordingly.
It has been a great
run and we again thank you for your support.
Russell Hoinke,
Director
